Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a dynamic team in Chandler, AZ. As an AP Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all accounts payable processes. This temp-to-hire position provides an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong organizational skills and experience working with QuickBooks or Sage software. The position requires someone who can multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Handle accounts payable inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH transactions, and wire transfers.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Perform monthly accounts payable account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing necessary reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations related to accounts payable.
- Assist with generating 1099 forms and ensuring compliance with IRS regulations.
Requirements :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.Proficiency with QuickBooks or Sage is required.Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles (GAAP).Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including experience with spreadsheets and data analysis tools.Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.Additional Information :
