Position Overview
Position works within a team environment to assist and complete daily duties in the Test Lab
Responsibilities
Daily process testing of combined board and finished goods
Collect & prepare daily combined board samples for testing
Perform Mullen, flat crush, pin adhesion and ECT on weekly samples
Perform compression test evaluations
Perform various tests on liner and medium when required
Generate charts, graphs and reports as necessary
Assist and perform ISTA testing for Customers, including prework calculations and reporting, ensuring accuracy to all ISTA and Customer specific testing protocols.
Process Daily corrugator schedules for weekly samples, HazMat and special customer testing
Monitor and ensure compliance to daily HazMat packaging orders
Perform Competitor Spec analysis on samples supplied for quoting
Support trials, conduct testing as required and analyze results; create and distribute reports
Test samples and create Certificates of Analysis for customers
Conduct monthly CTS testing
Provide technical assistance and testing to other departments and divisions
Qualifications
Requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with external customers and internal employees within the organization.
Adaptable to routine change daily or as needed depending on workload
Ability to work well within a team environment with clear feedback and communication
Must be analytically and detail driven. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Related technical schooling is preferred. In lieu of technical education, related experience in a manufacturing setting may be considered. Qualified candidates should have demonstrated skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office 365. Good communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Successful candidates will have problem solving skills and be able to work independently. Familiarity and experience with the following equipment is preferred : slide angle tester, score band tester, calipers and micrometers, small and large compression testers, and cutters.
