Job Description And Duties

This position is for Coalinga State Hospital.

$54.86 min - $65.39 max per Hour

This position is PERMANENT / INTERMITTENT and within our INTERNAL REGISTRY.

The Internal Registry consists of Permanent Intermittent employees (PIE) who are available to work as needed (potential float capacity). The registry provides services for programs and other clinical areas in order to maintain minimum staffing requirements and reduce the cost of overtime. You may be moved to another work location during your shift according to facility needs.

Permanent intermittent employees may not work more than 1500 hours in any calendar (January through December) year unless approved by the Central Staffing Office (CSO) Administrator / designee, Executive Director and DSH-Sacramento Human Resources and authorized by Cal-HR.

Department Information

DSH-Coalinga opened in 2005 and began treating forensically committed patients, mostly of which are sexually violent predators. It is a self-contained psychiatric hospital constructed with a security perimeter. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) provides perimeter security as well as transportation of patients to outside medical services and court proceedings.
