Role : Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location : Rochester, NY , 14623

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Monday Friday, Days; 8hous shifts

Schedule : 40 hrs per week / 5 days

Pay breakdown :

Hourly rate - $ 77.00 [$40.00 taxable | $ 37.10 non-taxable]

Weekly Gross- $ 3,084.00 [$1,600.00 taxable | $ 1,484.00 stipend]

Job Summary :

A Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) to patients for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic procedures. They operate specialized imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners, to capture functional images of organs and tissues.
The technologist ensures patient safety, follows radiation protection protocols, and collaborates with physicians to interpret imaging results.

Requirements :

Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with CT Certification and NYS Rad Tech License

BLS required

MUST have CT Certification NMTCB- CT or ARRT-CT

1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine required

PET / CT training and licensure required, but will consider candidates who have not professionally conducted PET / CT scans

Will consider candidates while they're pending their NYS license must be able to obtain prior to start.
