Job Opportunity : OB / GYN Hospitalist in Beautiful Palm Springs, CA

We are seeking an additional Board Certified or Board Eligible OB / GYN Hospitalist to join our esteemed practice at a reputable medical center in Palm Springs, CA. This facility features a 387-bed tertiary acute care unit and is honored to be the only Level I Trauma Center in the Coachella Valley. Enjoy the unique lifestyle of living where many others only visit! Job Responsibilities :

  • Full-time position with approximately 7.5 24-hour in-house shifts per month (2190 hours annually).
  • Consideration for candidates looking to work a minimum of approximately 5.5 shifts per month (1560 hours annually).
  • Collaborate with 2 OB Hospitalists on duty 24 / 7.
  • Attend deliveries, manage OB triage, conduct patient evaluations, and provide surgical assistance.
  • Monitor fetal health and cover the emergency room as needed.
  • Engage with maternal-fetal medicine for rounds and inpatient consultations for high-risk patients.
  • Practice conducts approximately 60 deliveries monthly with a 30-bed Level-III NICU for newborns.
  • Participate in teaching opportunities with fellows, residents, and medical students.
  • This is a permanent, full-time role requiring residence in the immediate local area.

Qualifications :

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB / GYN - REQUIRED
  • California medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • OB Hospitalist work experience - PREFERRED
  • Interest in full-time or part-time employment - REQUIRED
  • Willingness to relocate or currently reside in the area - REQUIRED
  • DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED

    • Licenses and Certifications Required :

  • Valid California medical license
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in OB / GYN
  • DEA must be obtained before starting
