Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the accounting department. This position is responsible for journal entries, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and audit support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute month-end close processes to meet reporting deadlines.
- Prepare and record journal entries and reconcile accounts across multiple entities.
- Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Investigate and resolve variances in account reconciliations; collaborate with peers and escalate issues to the Accounting Manager when necessary.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual audited financial statements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting.
- Document policies, procedures, and workflows for assigned responsibilities.
- Participate in ad-hoc and recurring projects to provide financial analysis and drive process improvements.
- Analyze lease and owner payment data; recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA candidate preferred.Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in industries including lease accounting.Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory standards.Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP / accounting systems preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other MS Office applications.Self-motivated and effective in both independent and team-oriented environments.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00 / yr.
