Purpose of this position :
The Bath Aide is responsible for ensuring residents receive timely and respectful bathing and hygiene services. This role enhances resident dignity, comfort, and health through daily hygiene routines.
Restorative aide Responsibilities :
Provide complete and partial baths, bed baths, showers, and perineal care.
Maintain residents' comfort, privacy, and dignity during hygiene care.
Observe and report any skin changes, rashes, wounds, or bruising.
Monitor water temperature and safety protocols during all care.
Assist with dressing and grooming after hygiene procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of bathing areas and equipment.
Assist residents with toileting and incontinence care if needed.
Accurately document completed care services.
Fill in as a Certified Nurse Aide as needed to meet residents need.
Maintain accurate records and follow HIPAA / confidentiality policies.
Support the care team with tasks related to resident safety and comfort.
Demonstrate Professionalism :
- Adhere to predetermined work dates and times.
- Attend monthly mandatory in-services.
- Complete assignments in a timely manner as assigned.
- Work cooperatively with other employees.
- Consistently professional appearance.
Adhere to company policies and procedures :
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local codes, laws, regulations and company policies governing facility.Maintain confidentiality of resident information following HIPAA regulations.Review nursing procedures manual periodically and maintain working knowledge of current procedures.Practical application of LTC regulations as it pertains to resident care.Follow Universal Precautions & observe infection control policies including PPE (to include N95 respirator masks & surgical masks) and handwashing.Demonstrate knowledge of and process of resident evacuation in the event of fire or tornado.Always follow resident rights policies.Qualifications :
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.Experience in personal hygiene or bathing care preferred.Attentive to resident needs, respectful, and gentle demeanor.Knowledge of infection control and skin care protocols.Physically capable of assisting residents in bathing safely.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.Collaboration, leadership, and conflict resolution.Ability to adjust to changing staffing needs and situations.Ability to perform work safely.Ability to work with strict deadlines.Possess strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interacting with staff, management, and potential employees.Ability to utilize computer hardware and software to accomplish daily tasks.The ability to manage schedules, track employee information, and stay organized.Physical / Emotional / Mental Demands
