SUMMARY OF POSITION :

The Car Repairman is responsible for inspecting railcar frames and bodies for defects, maintaining and repairing railcars and operating specialized equipment. This position is employed by an affiliated company of Patriot Rail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Car Repairman I

• Assist with railcar inspections.
• Assist in car part inspections and identification.
• Must complete 3G welding qualification test for ARC welding.

Car Repairman II

Car Repairman III

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

COMPETENCIES : Verbal comprehension

Understand oral and written communications, both general and technical.

Communication skills

Provide clear instructions / directions.

Reasoning skills

Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Functional / Technical Skills

Has the technical and functional background to perform job duties at a high level of competence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT :
