Job Description :

  • Teach in-person Elementary Mandarin courses in the Global Languages department under the Division of the Humanities and Learning Communities.
  • Teaching various levels and sections of CHN-101 (Beginner).
  • Courses are offered fully in-person on campus (Charlestown and Chelsea campuses).

Requirements :

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chinese or a related field.
  • Experience teaching various sections of CHN-101 (Beginner).
  • Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
  • Experience with high-impact teaching and learning practices (examples : undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities).
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
  • Community college teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to teach courses on campus in an in-person setting at BHCC's Charlestown or Chelsea campuses.
  • Additional Information :

    Salary : $1,397.00 per credit hour.
