Textile Assistant
The Kasper Group , a leader in the apparel industry for over 30 years, is known for its iconic brands and relevant womenswear designs. We are currently seeking a proactive Textile Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be a vital link between our Design, Color, and Production teams, helping to facilitate the entire fabric lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Fabric Sourcing & Detailing : Interface with the design team to help source fabric.
- Generate accurate production Fabric detail sheets.
- Coordinate Color and Labeling : Interface with the design / color team to ensure color match.
- Generate detailed labeling and packing details.
- Ensure Data Accuracy : Accurately proofread fabric details.
- Timely update of the PDM database.
- Communication & Follow-up : Communicate clearly on Fabric sheet questions with the design team and overseas vendors.
- Follow up with appliance to ensure on-time production.
- Manage Deadlines : Complete all the above in an accurate, timely manner, adhering to target completion dates.
- Maintain fabric library of standards.
What You'll Bring
Education : A BA in Fashion / Textiles or a related field is preferred.Technical Proficiency : Must possess good computer skills; Excel is a must.Attention to Detail and Organization : Attention to detail and accuracy is a required skill.Must have good retention of facts and department systems.Must be able to organize and prioritize own workload.Professional Skills : Must have experience working in a fast-paced environment.Must adhere to department timeline.Communication : Must have a good command of the English language in order to communicate effectively interdepartmentally and with overseas factories and offices.Salary & EEO
Salary Range : $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
