What you will be doing :
Research titles, deeds, wills and related documents to establish property ownershipUse courthouse computer systems to examine property and tax assessment records forcompilation of information about a specific propertyCopy or summarize recorded documents, such as leases, right of ways, and judgments affecting specific propertyExamine liens, judgments, leases, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to verify legal description, ownership and restrictionsCreate deed plots, and flowcharts for abstracts and title opinions and prepare detailed Abstract ReportsResearch and abstract oil and gas leasehold interest ownershipSubmit reports and results from researching liens, mortgages, right of ways, easements, back taxes, mineral, coal, oil and gas ownership, and verification of current surface ownershipProvide quality research and reports based on client needs and criteriaAbout you :
A minimum of 3 (level 1) to 5+ (level 2) years experience as an abstractor in the Oil and Gas sectorAbility to read and interpret mapsAbility to interpret complex legal documents to obtain and understand legal property descriptionsBasic familiarity with standard Microsoft Office Software including Outlook, Word, Teams and SharepointIntermediate Microsoft Excel skills to include such capabilities as using multiple worksheets, totaling columns, changing formats, and entering / using basic formulas.Ability to type using a computer keyboard to enter information rapidly, accurately and proficientlyAn Equal Opportunity Employer : We provide equal opportunity without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability.
