HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a travel job in Columbus, Ohio.

Title : Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR Tech

Location : Columbus, OH

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift – Mix of 5x8-Hour (06 : 30 – 15 : 00) and 2x12-Hour (10 : 30 – 23 : 00)

Call Requirement : Yes – flexible scheduling with call coverage as needed

Job Responsibilities :

  • Scrub in and assist during complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, EVAR, TEVAR, and VAD implantations.
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly handled and available.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe operation flow in the CVOR.
  • Perform instrument reprocessing and equipment documentation specific to cardiovascular / thoracic procedures.
  • Assist with case cart preparation, crash cart readiness, and handling of high-risk instruments and supplies.
  • Follow universal protocols, aseptic technique, and safety guidelines in a high-acuity OR environment.

    • Required Skills & Experience :

  • 5+ years total Certified Surgical Tech (CST) experience
  • Minimum 2 years of dedicated experience in cardiac and vascular surgery
  • 1 year of recent CVOR experience
  • 1 year experience working in a Level I Trauma facility
  • Experience in cardiovascular / thoracic instrument processing
  • Proficient with procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, TEVAR / EVAR, and general vascular surgeries
  • Experience using EPIC charting system (required)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and take call as scheduled
