The State of Connecticut , Department of Revenue Services (DRS ) is seeking to fill current and future Revenue Examiner 1 openings in units of the Audit and Compliance Division. The Audit Division assists in conducting taxpayer examinations for the income, corporation, sales, use and excise or public services taxes.

The Audit and Compliance Division

Units assigned to the Audit and Compliance Division conduct both field and office audits. Many of the issues addressed by the units are highly complex and require staff with exceptional knowledge of both federal and state taxation. Examiners within the Audit & Compliance Division may be required to travel both within Connecticut and throughout all 50 states in an effort to contribute to the fiscal and economic well-being of the State of Connecticut. Examiners are expected to have broad technical tax expertise, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
