Job title : Class A Crane Operator / Driver
Pay : Starting at $32 to $36 an hour, depending on experience
Schedule : Monday-Friday, starting 6 : 30 am and working until all loads for the day have been delivered.
Location : Phoenix, Oregon
At PARR, the Driver Crane position is essential to fulfilling the needs of our customers by making sure they are receiving their orders on-time and in great condition. This position is responsible for driving trusses to jobsites and using their crane to safely drop material off. The ideal crane driver is someone driven to maintain safety regulations and provide above and beyond customer service.
The Driver Crane reports directly to the Production Manager and interacts daily with external customers such as framers, homeowners, and builders. The internal customers this position works with includes Dispatchers, the Production Manager, and General Manager.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Class A CDL required
- Air-brake endorsement required
- Current NCCCO certification
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
- Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reports of any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
- Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
- Driving experience within 50-mile radius of primary location preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicleLegally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roadsLearns and uses route planning and optimizationFollow delivery procedures by taking photos of delivered shipment after completing each deliveryMaintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during course of workKeep truck supplied, organized, and cleanCheck load for accuracyProactively manages job site conditions for next delivery and communicates with otherPerform daily pre-trip and post trip inspections of all equipmentPerform required safety audit of vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections, crane inspections) and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policyPromptly report all accidents / incidentsWrites legibly on all materialsAnnually update driver's qualification file as required by Federal and state regulations and company policyProvides required paperwork and scanning for dispatchEnsures that all material transported on the truck has a delivery packet which includes the truss layout and truss engineering and delivery ticketProvides feedback related to customers, jobsites, issues, etc.Reads and follows instructions on deliveriesContacts customers before next deliveryEstablishes good relationships with sales team and seeks to be their "eyes and ears" in the fieldEstablish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendorsAssists other team members with work when appropriatePerform other related duties as assignedThis position will be working at a truss manufacturing facility and making deliveries at jobsites in all weather conditions.
