Overview

Designer, Multimedia & Visual Communication – Carnegie Corporation of New York. The organization seeks a highly skilled designer with a strong foundation in multimedia production and visual storytelling. Reports to the Principal Director, Creative Services and Audience Engagement within the Communications department. This role blends hands-on design execution with strategic creative thinking to advance the Corporation’s mission through compelling, emotionally resonant, and visually impactful content. The ideal candidate is a multidisciplinary designer fluent in traditional and digital media, passionate about using design to communicate complex ideas clearly and meaningfully. Experience within philanthropy or adjacent mission-driven sectors is essential, as is a collaborative mindset and the ability to work across a range of creative styles and team dynamics.

Responsibilities

Creative & Multimedia Design

• Translate abstract concepts into clear, accessible, and emotionally compelling visual narratives.

Create and produce best-in-class print, digital, and multimedia content (and photography), including :

Brand Identity & Visual Communication

Collaboration & Project Management

Technical Execution

Salary Range

$94,000 - $105,000 / annual. New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary hiring range posted depending on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
