Salary : Full-time base pay $33,600 / annually

CSSM is offering a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 with up to $250 paid on the 1st paycheck and up to $750 paid at 6 months employment.

Counseling Services of Southern Minnesota has served the southern Minnesota regional areas mental health needs as a community-based agency since 1997. Our highly skilled, passionate, and caring professionals provide psychotherapy, psychological assessment, rehabilitative skills for adults and children, and clinical consultation to community entities.

CSSM is looking to grow our CTSS team and is accepting applications from qualified candidates.

CTSS is a flexible package of mental health services for children who require varying therapeutic and rehabilitative levels of intervention. CTSS addresses the conditions of emotional disturbance that impair and interfere with an individuals ability to function independently. For children with emotional disturbances, rehabilitation means a series or multidisciplinary combination of psychiatric and psychosocial interventions to :

Restore a child or adolescent to an age-appropriate developmental trajectory that had been disrupted by a psychiatric illness; or

Enable the child to self-monitor, compensate for, cope with, counteract, or replace psychosocial skills, deficits or maladaptive skills acquired over the course of a psychiatric illness.

Primary Responsibilities :

Develop an ITP for necessary and appropriate care based on information in the childs standard or extended diagnostic assessment and the documented input of the family and other authorized caregivers

Sign the ITP (the child or legal guardian and mental health professional or clinical supervisor of the practitioner must sign the ITP before implementing service)

Review the ITP as required with the member and the members parents or guardians

Ensure that the services provided are designed to meet specific mental health needs of the child and the childs family according to the childs ITP

Coordinate CTSS services

Work with other health care providers (including multiple agencies, if for example, the child has an additional diagnosis of developmental disability, substance abuse or physical condition requiring regular medical care)

Availability to work primarily afternoon and evening hours

    Preferred Qualifications :

    Passionate about assisting individuals with mental illness improve their quality of life

    Experience providing service to individuals with mental illness; familiar with mental illness

    Strong organizational skills and proven ability to be a self-starter

    Effective verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
