Senior Mechanical Designer & Team Lead (2D AutoCAD)

Location : Richfield, WI (Onsite; within 45-minute commute)

Employment : Full-Time, Permanent W-2 (No relocation)

Compensation : $75,000–$90,000 + Full Benefits

Role Overview

As our Senior Mechanical Designer & Team Lead, you’ll spend 70% of your time crafting detailed 2D AutoCAD designs for industrial heat-transfer systems and 30% mentoring a small team of designers. Though our clients work almost exclusively in 2D, you may occasionally produce 3D drawings for special requests.

Key Responsibilities

• 2D Design (70%) : Create precise 2D AutoCAD drawings for custom heat-transfer equipment and related components.
• Team Leadership (30%) : Coach, review work, and manage project priorities for a small group of designers.
• Occasional 3D Support : Generate basic 3D AutoCAD models when customer requirements dictate.
• Produce and revise a variety of technical schematics, assembly drawings, and fabrication prints.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
