job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssist in medical chart preparation, review and audit. Track the completion of clinical notes. Assist in insurance authorizations for patient visits. Assist with office intake, including scheduling patients, calling patients or physician offices, ordering durable medical equipment (DME), coordinating lab draws, faxing, and performing other related tasks. Coordinate systems and procedures with medical records, data entry, claims review and personnel functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy in operations. Monitor systems, identify problem areas, and develop and implement action plans. Control, monitor, and order office and medical supplies. Prepare and conduct inventory control reports. Demonstrate a desire to set and meet objectives and to find increasingly efficient ways to perform tasks. Perform job in compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as community and professional standards. Communicate necessary information to Supervisor and management team to ensure coordination of services and activities. Perform other related and assigned duties. Job Summary
The Medical Assistant / Intake Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to patient care. They will provide clerical support including typing correspondence, reports, and documents; maintaining filing systems; and coordinating daily interoffice activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
- Demonstrate compassion, responsibility, and cheerful attitude.
- Certified Home Health Aide certification preferred.
