As a Sr. Hardware Development Engineer on the detector development team, you will contribute to the design and development of new X-ray detectors. You will be part of a group responsible for the printed circuit design, hardware bring-up and testing, requirements, and verification of the detector. The role involves conducting experiments to assess the reliability of components, processes, and techniques.
Responsibilities
Perform schematic capture and oversee printed circuit design utilizing OrCAD Capture and PADs software.
Design hardware that meets project requirements.
Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, testing, and verification.
Identify root causes of component and system related issues and coordinates solutions.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and production teams to launch products.
Support engineering reviews of designs and provide feedback.
Requirements
B.S. degree in Engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing)
Skilled in analog / digital circuit board design
Experience using high-speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
Preferred Experience / Knowledge
Designing and troubleshooting low-noise analog and high frequency circuits, including op-amps, control loops, DACs, ADCs, FPGAs, DRAM interfaces, high-speed interfaces (10Gbps), and regulators.
Circuit board design with expertise in signal integrity and power distribution networks.
High-speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB, SerDes, XFI, XUAI, RXUAI, etc.
Developing emulation / prototype systems using FPGA
Medical device engineering processes.
