Job Summary

Position responsible for ensuring clinical excellence in either an assigned work group or for an assigned patient population. Responsible for appropriate oversight / supervision of assigned personnel and performing direct patient care in a cost-effective manner. Assesses patients then develop and initiate treatment plan based on the results of the evaluation. The evaluation may include measurement of physical, cognitive, perceptual and / or developmental skill as they relate to maximizing level of independence in the occupational performance areas along the continuum of life. Documents findings, progress and instruction to patients and caregivers. Serves as a resource and mentor for the staff, students and volunteers while assisting in setting up educational programs, provide input for program development, and serves as a resource for community education and marketing.

We are pleased to announce a job opening for an Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist at the Memorial Hermann Willis SMR Clinic.

Our advanced Willis Clinic, set to open in May 2025, offers the privilege of partnering with renowned hand surgeons and provides vast opportunities for professional development including our American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) accredited hand fellowship.

The successful candidate will divide their professional time between our facility and Woodlands Rockets Orthopedics Hospital, working alongside other highly skilled Certified Hand Therapists.

Please note that applicants must currently hold certification in the relevant field as we are not considering those awaiting certification.

Minimum Qualifications

Education : Bachelors or graduate degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university-based occupational therapy program

Licenses / Certifications : Current License to practice Occupational Therapy by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners license required. Current Certification in Basic Life Support. Advanced Education or clinical certification preferred
