Cost Accountant

Location : Grand Rapids, MI Market | Full-Time | $75,000 per year + Bonus + Benefits | Hybrid (3 days on-site in Muskegon, MI)

Are you an experienced accounting professional in the Grand Rapids area looking for a hybrid role with impact? Integrated Resource Solutions is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our finance team. Key Responsibilities :

Maintain and update standard costs of products and services.

Prepare cost analyses and margin reports to guide business decisions.

Analyze production costs, variances, and inventory valuation.

Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to monitor cost drivers.

Reconcile inventory accounts and ensure proper valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

Monitor overhead allocations and provide recommendations for cost control.

Support internal audits and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Develop and maintain cost accounting policies and procedures for accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA / CMA preferred).

2–5+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.

Proficiency with ERP / accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
