The Quality Inspector ensures that machine shop products accurately meet drawing requirements through first part, in-process and final inspection prior to release to inventory. The Quality Inspector also maintains the calibration program for precision measuring devices.
Requirements
- Following written company procedures and applicable outside certification standards, ensure all machine shop
products, holders and accessories meet drawing, work order and customer requirements
Ensure parts in CNC area are produced properly through first part and in-process inspectionInspect all rupture disc holder drilling and taggingRoute accepted parts and products to next processing stageDocument non-conforming parts or products and route them to designated holding areaCalibrate and maintain inventory of measuring equipment, including pressure, control and computer gaugesTrack and enter inspection data into computerDevelop non-conformance charts and run weekly updatesPerform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business needQualifications
High school diploma or GED, Associate’s Degree in Industrial Technology or related field preferredAbility to read blueprintsIntermediate math and reading skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsExperience in manufacturing Quality ControlInternal Auditing experience to ISO 9001 StandardsWorking knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, Microsoft Outlook, Word & ExcelExperience with Geometric Dimensioning and ToleranceUnderstanding of AS9100 Quality Management SystemCMM ProgrammingBehavioral

Physical Requirements :
Sufficient manual dexterity to successfully use a computerAbility to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day, though possibly moreFrequently required to stand and / or walk, up to 2 hours per day, and make occasional trips from the office area to themanufacturing area
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as neededAbility to wear all required personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing area, including, but not limited to,safety glasses and safety shoes
Vision Requirements : Acuity of 20 / 30 or better in either eye; Read the Jaeger No. 2 Eye Chart at 16 inches.Benefits
