Overview We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and creative Marketing Director to join our marketing team to lead the marketing operations and the development and execution of marketing strategies for our portfolio of video game titles. The ideal candidate understands the video game industry, consumer trends, and effective marketing tactics to drive awareness, engagement, and sales.
Responsibilities Lead development and implement comprehensive marketing plans for new game launches and ongoing product campaigns, including defining target audiences, messaging, and channel strategies.
Collaborate with external stakeholders and internal, cross-functional teams, including product development, creative, and sales, to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives and product go-to-market roadmaps.
Manage the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, such as social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, events, community management, and advertising.
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and refine marketing strategies.
Oversee the creation of compelling consumer facing materials, including packaging, trailers, screenshots, promotional assets.
Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, utilizing data and analytics to optimize strategies and ROI.
Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends, technologies, and best practices in the gaming industry.
Interact with licensors and manage relationships that include brand plan presentations, process approval materials, and day-to-day communications.
Directly interact with and report to senior leadership on go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with video game or entertainment industry experience required.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive product awareness, wishlists, and sales.
In-depth knowledge of marketing channels, tactics, and best practices, including digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, community management, and content marketing.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to inform marketing decisions.
Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling marketing messages.
Previous experience working directly with licensing partners is a plus.
Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming culture and trends.
Familiarity with design tools and video editing software is a plus.
