About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty : RRT-NICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Must have critical care experience to work in a high-volume critical care environment.

License : Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State Board of Medicine, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS.

Must-Have : Only seeking candidates with prior NICU / pediatrics experience.

Description :

We are looking for a Respiratory Therapist with experience in PICU / NICU.

Candidates should be able to work with adult patients.

An ASAP start is preferred.

Shifts will typically consist of 4x12 hour days from 7 AM to 7 PM, with every other weekend required.

3x12 hour shifts may be available by request.

Candidates should be familiar with all modes of mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and nitric oxide delivery.

Experience with specific equipment is required including Servo I, V60, nitric, 3100A, 3100B, and Jet.

A minimum of one year of travel experience is required.

Candidates must have experience with charting systems and critical care environments.

The successful candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and be familiar with management of tracheostomy care, high flow nasal cannula, and interpretation of arterial blood gases.

Experience with pediatric critical care and aerosol setups is essential.

Candidates should be prepared to work in an interdisciplinary team and provide support for a wide range of patient diagnoses.

Working knowledge of special equipment such as high frequency jet ventilators and bubble CPAP is necessary.

This role may include participation in high-risk delivery assistance.
