Senior Construction Superintendent

Trillium Construction is seeking a Senior Construction Superintendent for our client, a well-established general contractor in Pine Mountain, GA.

This role requires a proven leader with a strong background in ground-up commercial construction and some experience in residential building projects.

The Senior Superintendent will lead all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This position requires exceptional leadership, technical knowledge, and strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership
  • Oversee all on-site construction operations from mobilization through project completion.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Supervise all field staff, including foremen, laborers, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Maintain strict adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Field Operations
  • Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to meet critical path milestones.
  • Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to plan and coordinate upcoming work.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and secure job site at all times.
  • Perform and track punch list completion to ensure final quality.
  • Safety & Quality
  • Champion safety as the top priority on the jobsite; enforce OSHA and company policies.
  • Perform quality control and verify compliance with all specifications and codes.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts, design discrepancies, and unforeseen issues.
  • Communication & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and logs in project management software (Procore).
  • Communicate with project stakeholders regarding RFI's, submittals, change orders, and inspections.
  • Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules and assist with overall logistics planning.
  • Mentorship
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to assistant superintendents and field staff.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Annual salary is $105k / year.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of all construction trades, site layout, and surveying techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Capable of managing projects from $10M to $100M+.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Ability to walk, climb, and access all areas of active construction sites.
  • Education & Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of construction experience, including 7+ years managing ground-up commercial projects.
  • Some residential experience (multi-family or high-end single-family) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • GWCSS Level 1A Blue Card holder.
  • At least one certification from ACI, AWS, or AISC.
  • Additional credentials such as USACE CQM, EM 385-1-1, fall protection, scaffolding, or trenching competent person training highly preferred.
  • Preferred Experience

  • Experience with commercial sectors such as office, retail, hospitality, education, and mixed-use developments.
  • Familiarity with residential codes and high-end construction methods.
  • Proven track record of success on complex or logistically challenging projects.
