- Position Overview
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to serve as the dedicated clinician for a specialized classroom cohort within Norwalk Public Schools. This is a
- 30 hours / week
- , benefits-eligible role that follows the NPS school calendar. Hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-2pm and Friday 8am-1pm.
There is also potential to increase to a full-time
- (40 hours / week)
- by adding after-school or summer clinic hours at Lindsay Scott SLP & Co.
- We are open to both new and experienced clinicians and this is reflected in the salary range.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapy services aligned with IEP goals and objectives
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and related service providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support communication strategies in classroom settings
- Maintain parent / caregiver communication
- Complete professional documentation (progress notes, IEP reports, evaluations)
- Optional Summer / Clinic Duties (if desired)
- Carry a caseload of 18-20 direct client-facing hours per week
- Provide evidence-based, family-centered treatment and evaluations
- Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Document sessions in the practice's EMR
- Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Connecticut SLP license (or proof of eligibility / submission)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- PROMPT trained (preferred)
