About the Role
The Occupational Therapist (OT) in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting evaluates and treats patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery to improve functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and cognitive / perceptual skills. The OT utilizes GG (Functional Independence Measure – FIM / GG) scoring to assess patient progress and document functional outcomes in compliance with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) and other regulatory requirements.

CMS guidelines (Medicare Part A, IRF coverage criteria).

Qualifications :
Acute care / IPR experience preferred (new grads with Level II fieldwork in these settings considered).
ICU / acute care competency (ventilators, lines / tubes, hemodynamic monitoring).
