Responsibilities :
Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teethTake and develop dental x-raysAssess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendationsEducate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive careAdminister local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as neededAssist the dentist during procedures, including charting and documenting patient informationMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient recordsFollow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic techniqueProvide dental care to pediatric patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experienceQualifications :
Valid dental hygiene license in IndianaAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited programProficiency in using dental software for medical records management (e.g., CAD)Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment optionsExperience in dental assisting is a plusFamiliarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentialityExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsNote : This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
