A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work 12-hour shifts : 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM or 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 3 x 12-hour shifts with alternating / rotating weekends
• No call requirements
• Patient ratios of 2 : 1 (3 : 1 if low acuity)
• 12-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit
• Float as needed per Methodist floating policy
• Document using Meditech system
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Must have active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• 2 years of hospital experience required
• General ICU experience required
• Titration of drips experience required
• Preferred skills : Neuro ICU experience, CABG, CRRT, Prisma Flex, Meditech experience
• Perform procedures including A-line, central lines, chest tubes, cardioversion, paracentesis
• Dress code : Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket
• Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
