Responsibilities Work in a hospital SRO Float Pool setting rotating through various ICU and intermediate care units Units include Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1 Trauma), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit, Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit, and ED Boarders Night shifts, 4x12 hours, with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week (19 : 00-07 : 00) Every other weekend required, plus 2 out of 3 winter holidays Required to float between ICU, intermediate, and specialty care units per hospital policy Epic EMR experience required Care for critically ill patients in various ICU and intermediate care settings as assigned Modules are completed during orientation, up to 16 hours non-billable Must comply with all hospital float policies Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays No local radius rule applies Up to 40 hours of RTO allowed for each 13-week contract when submitted at hiring First-time travelers considered COVID and special pathogens experience may be needed depending on unit assignment Requirements Active VA or compact RN license; pending licenses accepted if in hand before start Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Level 1 trauma ICU experience strongly preferred Two recent professional references required BSN preferred Previous Epic charting system experience required Must not have worked more than 365 days on assignment at this health system If previously employed at this health system, a 12-month separation and leadership approval are required for return Nursys license verification required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620021.
