Responsibilities Work in a hospital operating room with 19 OR suites and advanced certifications Patient population primarily includes spinal and neuro cases Average of 50 surgical cases per day Schedule options include 12-hour shifts (0700-1900), with flexibility for alternative shifts by agreement Average of 6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule, with a 45-minute response time required On-call shifts may occur 11p-7a or 7a-7p / 7p-7a on weekends Every other weekend rotation is required No floating required Support includes clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, OR assistants, unit secretaries, and tech engineers General OR equipment will be used for a variety of surgical services Orientation includes New Employee Orientation and 2 days of departmental training Scrubs are provided by the facility Free parking is available for staff Travelers are required to work 75% of holidays in the contract period Unit culture is consistent with a high-performing operating room environment Requirements Active NC or compact RN license Current BLS certification required Minimum 5 years of OR RN experience, with strong experience in spinal and neuro surgical cases CNOR certification preferred but not required First-time travelers will not be considered Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-612148.
