American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least one year of experience and current ARRT and BLS (AHA) certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in a hospital radiology CT scan departmentVariable schedule with a combination of 12-hour day and night shifts, 3 shifts per weekWeekend work may be required depending on department needsNo on-call requirements are included in this assignmentFloat assignments may occur within a 60-mile radius to other locations as neededUses Epic EMR for charting, Epic experience is preferredPerforms all standard CT imaging procedures while following ALARA radiation safety guidelinesResponsible for patient care and safety throughout imaging exams, including preparation and positioningCommunicates effectively with physicians, staff, and patientsAssists with patient transport and supports smooth patient flow and schedulingMay be required to perform technologist duties in other imaging modalities as assignedMaintains equipment, performs quality checks, and ensures equipment maintenance documentation is completedMust comply with all state, federal, accreditation, and hospital regulationsParticipates in staff education, training, and quality improvement activitiesA flu shot is required during flu season unless a medical exemption is provided and signed by a physician; religious exemptions are not acceptedLocal candidates within 60 miles are not eligible\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year of CT technologist experienceCurrent ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT), ARRT(N), ARRT(T), CNMT, or state CT registry requiredBLS certification from the American Heart Association is requiredHigh school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferredMust be able to start IVs and administer contrastLicense required if applicableNo pending licenses accepted\n Benefits\n
