Estimator (Summit)

Role : Junior Estimator

Location : Summit, NJ

Job Type : Fulltime

Help estimate costs for challenging, high-end custom residential projects in NYC (pre-war co-ops, townhouses, and estates).

This role supports the Preconstruction Director by soliciting bids, reviewing drawings, and calculating material / labor costs for new work and changes. Requires a technical degree and 2-3 years of experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

Solicit and manage bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

Review drawings and perform quantity takeoffs.

Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs).

Communicate with design teams, subcontractors, and internal staff.

Assist with change order pricing and subcontractor selection.

Required Skills & Experience :

Skills : Project management, reading blueprints, advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas), and takeoff software (e.g., On Screen Takeoff).

Knowledge : Strong understanding of the construction process, sequence, and trade scopes.

Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (Construction Management / Engineering).

2-3 years of experience is preferred.
