Job Summary Licensed Practical Nurse
Responsible for assisting the registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. The LPN is accountable for all patients assigned to him / her according to established policies and procedures and the scope of practice for the licensed practical nurse.

A Brief Overview
Provides care and treatment to patients on maintenance dialysis Dialysis treatment is provided within the scope of nursing practice. Home dialysis nurses provide major portions of self- care and home dialysis training for dialysis patients and / or their caregivers.
