The UW-Parkside Police Department provides 24 / 7 police and dispatch service to approximately 5000 students and staff on a 700-acre campus. The department employs a community policing approach and focuses on student success and safety.

Position Title : Police Officer

Employment Type : Full time, Non-Exempt, University Staff

Reports To : The Police Officer will report to the Police Sergeant

Full Time Pay Range : Commensurate with qualifications and experience. $29.86-$38.73 per hour for LESB certified officers.

Responsibilities :

• Patrol university buildings and grounds, residence halls and adjacent property via squad car and on foot
• Enforce state statutes, administrative code, campus and residence hall policies
• Provide emergency first aid
• Investigate complaints and interview witnesses

Minimum Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a higher education environment and experience working with diverse multicultural populations.
