An South Dakota-based services organization is looking to add a compassionate and hardworking Emergency Medicine Technician (EMT) to its Workplace Health & Safety team. As a vital resource for the site's employees, the Emergency Medicine Technician (EMT) will be responsible for providing first aid, health guidance, and safety education.
About the Opportunity :
- Shift : Day Shift
- Schedule : 4 shifts per week
- Setting : Occupational Health
Responsibilities :
Deliver first aid care and refer employees to external medical providers as neededSupport workers' compensation and return-to-work programsMaintain accurate records of care and submit end-of-shift reportsProvide coaching on at-risk work behaviors and ergonomic practicesAttend safety committee and case management meetingsConduct random saliva drug testingMaintain medical supply inventory and a clean treatment areaParticipate in CPR, First Aid, and AED certification training sessionsRespond to on-site emergencies and provide critical careFlexibility to work holidays and weekends as requiredQualifications :
High School Diploma / GEDCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved ECC providerOne of the following :
Valid EMT or Paramedic Certification (State or NREMT)Minimum 6 months of recent U.S. military medical experience (e.g., Combat Medic, Corpsman)Active Athletic Trainer Certification (BOC or state equivalent)Willingness to obtain adult First Aid / CPR / AED certification from AHA or ARC within 3 weeks of start date
