Gretchen's House Child Care Centers are seeking compassionate and dedicated Afternoon Infant, Toddler and Preschool Teachers to join our nurturing early childhood education team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to positively influence the development of young children during their formative years, fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for learning and growth.
Regular work hours are 11 : 00-5 : 15, Monday through Friday. Position offers amazing benefit options (health, dental, vision, 401K, student loan repayment, etc...) along with a generous amount of paid time off and paid holidays.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants and toddlers.
- Provide a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times, maintaining a nurturing and respectful approach.
Skills and Qualifications :
Prior experience working with infants, toddlers and / or preschool-age children in an educational or caregiving setting.Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Certification in CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hire).High school diploma or equivalent; additional early childhood education credentials are a plus.Join our vibrant community committed to fostering early childhood development and creating a positive, enriching environment for children and families.
