Therapist - Inpatient and Intensive Outpatient - PRN

Weekdays and Weekend Shifts Available

Additionally, Aiken Regional provides comprehensive healthcare services such as behavioral health ( Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health ), emergency medical care (main hospital and ER at Sweetwater ), orthopedic surgeries, maternity, rehabilitation services ( Hitchcock Rehabilitation Services ), imaging, and wound care.

Licensed Therapist performs psychiatric social service functions, to include assessments, group therapy, family therapy, treatment planning, discharge planning and coordination with referral sources.

Duties :

• Performs psychosocial assessments.
• Performs psycho-educational groups.
• Conducts family education sessions.
• Acts as a patient advocate.
• Participates in the development of treatment plans.
• Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed.
• Initiates discharge planning upon admission and follows throughout patient stay.
• Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network.
• Answers Respond Calls whenever available.
• Performs initial mental health assessments as needed.
• Charts every session.
• Charges per service.
• Participates in program development meetings.
• Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor

Qualifications

Requirements :

Education : Masters Degree level in human services field.

Work experience : Minimum 3 years experience in mental health setting.

License requirements :   State license required for outpatient.  Inpatient does not require license but is preferred.
