Seeking a highly motivated medical assistant to assist nurse practitioners and registered nurses in providing medical care to the student body at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Responsibilities include administrative, lab, and clinical tasks such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting providers with exams, performing appropriate lab collection and processing, and front-desk tasks. Commitment to a flexible work schedule which may include some evenings and / or weekends. Anticipated working hours include 7 : 45am-4 : 30pm Monday through Friday during the academic calendar with reduced hours during scheduled academic breaks and summer. The FTE for this position is 0.9.

Key Job Responsibilities :

• Escorts patients to various hospital locations and delivers, orders, and inventories general clinic supplies
• Performs routine vital signs, basic tests, assists with minor procedures, and administers medications as directed by a supervising clinician
• Performs administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, assisting patients with billing, and coding information and answering basic medical questions
