Overview
Store Manager in Training role at O\'Reilly Auto Parts. Compensation : $14.01 - $20.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums paid in amounts per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of the store. The objective is to receive hands-on training preparing for a management position in another store or future location. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities
- Supervise the professional and retail operations of the store and team members.
- Work with district manager and store manager in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging team members under supervision.
- Communicate information from Team Weekly and monthly store managers' meetings to all team members.
- Train new team members; manage performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
- Assist in hiring by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management.
- Support store manager with safety compliance and ensure appropriate training for all team members; reinforce safety expectations.
- Make sales calls with or without the store manager; may be scheduled for weekly customer calls.
- Support store operations as assigned; maintain delivery fleet records and ensure the store / HUB is neat, clean, and organized.
- Learn electronic scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll entry functions; manage components of gross profit; monitor returns for core and warranty issues.
- Review competitive price matches and price overrides for proper use; review KPI dashboards daily and discuss opportunities after monthly P&L review with the store manager.

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skillsMust complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development ProgramAbility to read and match numerical / alphanumeric characters quickly and accuratelyKnowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systemsDesired :O'Reilly store and / or distribution center experience
