Role Description

This is a W2 remote / Hybrid role for a Principal Product Designer at Artykula. The Principal Product Designer will create visual designs, utilize design thinking, and conduct user research, product design, and UX research to develop impactful and user-centered products.

  • Lead the Design Team : Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and support to the design team to ensure the highest quality design output across all projects.
  • Collaborate with Frontend Development : Work closely with frontend engineers to translate designs into seamless, responsive, and visually stunning web experiences.
  • Drive End-to-End Product Design : Apply user-centered design principles to create intuitive, impactful digital experiences from concept to execution across web and mobile platforms.
  • Effectively Communicate Design Concepts : Present design strategies, user flows, and prototypes to stakeholders and senior leadership, ensuring alignment with business and user goals.
  • Champion Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive, integrated solutions.
  • Shape the Design Vision : Lead the development of design guidelines, frameworks, and best practices that elevate the brand and improve user experiences across projects.
  • Problem-Solve & Prioritize : Tackle complex design challenges with a strategic mindset, turning ambiguity into clear, actionable plans while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
  • 5 years of work experience working with executive leaders.
  • Experience and a deep understanding of frontend technologies to seamlessly collaborate with engineering teams.

    Salary Range : The base salary range for this full-time position in the locations of San Francisco, New York, Seattle is : $182,000—$251,000 USD (Will be based on the employee's location)
