Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse with Epic experience and current BLS and PALS certifications for a 13-week hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital
  • Shifts are either nights (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 00) or rotating days / nights
  • Assignment length is 13 weeks
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays
  • Floating within scope of practice may be required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Orientation includes non-billable modules up to 16 hours, completed during onboarding
  • Up to 40 hours of requested time off may be approved per contract; no time off allowed during the first two weeks
  • Return staff must have a one-year separation before eligibility and cannot exceed 365 cumulative days on assignment
  • Dress code or scrub requirements will be specified prior to start
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • No local candidate restrictions or mile radius rule

    • Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license; pending license accepted but must be in hand before start date
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus
  • Two professional references required
  • BSN preferred
  • Copy of certifications required for consideration
  • Nursys license verification required
