American Traveler is hiring an experienced Charge RN for a Level 3 or 4 NICU assignment requiring OR licensure, Epic experience, and delivery / resuscitation skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level 3 or 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a short-term acute care hospitalProvide charge responsibilities in the NICU with a 1 : 3 nurse-to-patient ratioCare for neonatal patients, including duties in delivery and resuscitationUses Epic charting system, experience requiredShifts are 3x12s, either day (7 : 00-19 : 00) or night (19 : 00-7 : 00), including rotating weekendsFloat required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed, with advance noticeOn-call standby required when not needed on the unitFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyMust commit to working 3 of 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)Expect to float between sister facilities as needed; refusal to float may result in contract terminationAll hours logged as Charge RN will be paid at an enhanced rateIf floated to certain locations, travel and lodging incentives applyAny color scrubs permitted except where hospital provides attireOrientation modules must be completed prior to startReturning employees must have a 3-month break between permanent and travel roles\n \n Requirements\n
Active OR RN license, can be in hand or pending at submissionMinimum of 1 year recent NICU RN experienceProven experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICUNICU charge RN and delivery / resuscitation experience requiredEpic EMR experience requiredMust have a vehicle for floating and onsite workTwo supervisory references from the past 3 years requiredCompliance documents such as SSN, DOB, and relevant certifications required prior to startMust not have worked as permanent staff at this facility within the last 3 monthsMust live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler\n Benefits\n
