Program Overview
Our Environmental and Wastewater Management Training Program is designed to cultivate future leaders in environmental sustainability and wastewater management by providing hands-on experience across key areas of our operations. This structured 6-month program offers broad exposure to the different facets of environmental compliance, sustainability practices, and wastewater treatment processes, culminating in a high-impact capstone project. We offer two cohorts of trainees annually, with one class starting in January and the other in June.
Program Structure
- First 3 Months – Rotational Experience : Trainees rotate through critical environmental and wastewater management departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of environmental practices and regulatory compliance. Departments include :

Environmental Compliance and RegulationSustainability InitiativesEnvironmental Health and Safety (EHS)Research and Development for Environmental SolutionsProcurement and Resource ManagementLast 3 Months – Capstone Project : Trainees focus on a specific area within environmental management or wastewater treatment and develop a capstone project addressing a key environmental challenge. Projects culminate in a presentation to senior leadership, showcasing innovative solutions for sustainability or wastewater treatment improvements.Post-Program Placement
Upon completion of the 6-month program, trainees will be placed in available positions within environmental and wastewater management. If no position is immediately available, the trainee will continue in their current capacity until a suitable role is found. Roles may include Environmental Compliance Auditor, Wastewater Treatment Operator, and similar positions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Recent graduate with a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Wastewater Management, Chemistry, Biology, or a related fieldStrong interest in a career in environmental and wastewater managementWillingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, environmentally-focused environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented settingA proactive approach to work with ownership and accountabilityMust be willing to travel to different facilities throughout the program (DE & NC)Program Benefits
