Seasonal Lifeguard Position

The City of Allen is hiring a seasonal lifeguard to ensure the safety of customers in and around pool areas. The position involves visually scanning pool areas, identifying distressed swimmers, performing in-water rescues, providing first aid, and completing CPR when necessary. Other duties include maintaining pool operations and equipment, assisting with locker room and bathroom maintenance, and providing customer service support.

The position does not provide direction to other employees and requires the following :

• Ensures the safety of customers at City aquatic facilities by visually scanning all areas, performing in-water rescues, providing first aid, and completing CPR when necessary.
• Maintains pool operations and equipment by vacuuming, scrubbing, cleaning, and removing debris.
• Ensures the sanitization of aquatic facilities by disinfecting bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and gathering lost items.
• Provides customer service by offering assistance, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, educating customers on rules, and directing them appropriately.
• May assist in Swim School operations as needed.
