Maintenance Technician

Job description :

• We are seeking a qualified candidate that possesses :
• excellent customer relations skills,
• basic carpentry skills,
• basic plumbing skills,
• basic electrical skills,
• basic drywall repair and painting skills,
• ability to address all resident requests pertaining to all disciplines of construction, and
• basic math skills and organization skills a must.
• Basic computer skills and ability to write work notes a must.
• HVAC certification a plus, electrical certification a plus.
• Previous maintenance experience mandatory.
• High School Education or Equivalent.
• Primary Responsibilities :
• Preparing units for new residents
• Maintain all work orders by priority and time received for all 65 units
• Clean, monitor, tidy, stock the hallways, restrooms, and amenity spaces daily ensuring that the restrooms, coffee space and gym are fully stocked with necessary items.
• Snow and ice removal and salting property when needed; arranging to stay on property when tracking bad snow
• Schedule and track annual inspections, including upkeep with the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Director to comply with contracts
• Complete quarterly filter changes in all units
• Carry on-call cell phone and respond to all calls during business hours then responding to emergency work orders as identified on the property's emergency maintenance call sheet. Perk of an additional $140.00 / week for carrying on call cell phone
• Change door batteries as needed
