Opportunity : Echo Technologist - Echo Tech Job Details : - Work day shift from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM - No weekend requirements - No on-call requirements - Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adults and pediatric patients - Work in the Echo Lab (Echocardiography) department - Must have A.R.D.M.S. / CCI registration or registry eligibility or comparable national accreditation - State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License required - BLS certification issued through American Heart Association required - High school diploma or equivalent required - Two year allied health education program that is patient care related preferred - Two years of actively doing echocardiograms preferred - Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively - Ability to work collaboratively with others from various disciplines - Ability to work at rapid pace under stressful conditions - Manual dexterity required to perform echocardiograms - Physical requirements include lifting patients, pushing heavy equipment, beds, and carts - May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and airborne pathogens - Knowledge of safety standards required to limit exposure to infectious diseases Facility : This regional medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides advanced cardiovascular services including specialized echocardiography services.
