Overview
Macdonald & Company is proud to partner with an established, Charlotte based real estate investment and development firm seeking a Senior Building Engineer to join its facilities management team. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the operational performance of two mixed-use properties in the Charlotte Metro area. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute preventative maintenance schedules across assigned properties.
- Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical building infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to operational issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
- Oversee facility operations to maintain safety, efficiency, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with property management, vendors, and contractors on repair and maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and inventory records.
