Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a post-acute setting, primarily skilled nursing facility, with at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work in post-acute care across two skilled nursing facilities and with home health patients
  • Patient population consists of approximately 80% SNF and 20% home health
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility to shift to Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Sunday
  • Shift length is 8 hours per day, day shifts only
  • No call or call-back required
  • Uses Net Health SNF for skilled nursing documentation and HCHB for home health documentation
  • Expectation of 80% productivity for SNF and 95% for home health
  • Supervise one PTA; a primary PT is assigned for home health cases
  • Primary base location is St John's, with some work at St Luke's and Kearney home health
  • Therapy Supervisor is on-site for support and guidance
  • New graduates will be considered for this position
  • No weekend on-call responsibilities
  • Orientation will be provided on-site as needed
  • Scrub or professional attire is required
  • Candidates living within 80 miles or using housing provided by the employer will be paid local rates

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent physical therapy experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute setting
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience with Net Health SNF and HCHB electronic medical records preferred
  • License required if applicable
