Overview

Mechanical Engineer - Production First Line Support (1st shift) in Wilton, CT. You'll play a key role in keeping ASML's advanced lithography systems running smoothly to support faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient microchips. Your work supports ASML's mission to push technology and enable the world's leading chipmakers to innovate.

You'll be part of the Production Engineering team in Wilton, CT, helping resolve mechanical issues quickly and efficiently to keep production moving and ensure the quality and reliability of the systems that power the digital world.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical assembly issues during production.
  • Resolve bonding and contamination problems using safe cleaning methods.
  • Support diagnostics and qualification processes for production teams.
  • Evaluate failed parts and propose corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing procedures and technical documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and root cause analysis.
  • Support cycle time and labor efficiency improvements.
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and optical drawings.

Education And Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics with 2+ years of experience in a technical production environment.
  • Or a master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics with prior internship experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with mechanical diagrams, servo systems, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with integrated hardware / software testers and production troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Python, MATLAB, Unix / Linux, NX, Teamcenter, and SAP is a plus.
